The Royal Guard (Főőrség) is the former guardhouse of the Royal Palace. Designed by Alajos Hauszmann and built between 1901 and 1903, it was demolished in 1971 and faithfully rebuilt under the National Hauszmann Programme. The café terrace faces the Matthias Fountain; the Lipót Room looks out over the Riding Hall and the Tabán.

Catering and technical
The in-house kitchen caters for events of several hundred guests. Every room has basic sound and a microphone. Sabrage and a hussar show in Csikós Court can be arranged.
